Live AI answers while people are still talking

Audiken listens along with you. When someone asks a question, uses a term you have not met, or mentions a date, a short answer appears beside the transcript within seconds, drawn from your own files.

Accounts are opening a few at a time. No card needed, and one email when yours is ready.

What appears beside your transcript

  • Questions asked aloud, answered from your files
  • New terms and acronyms, defined in two lines you can expand
  • Numbers and formulas said out loud, written out properly and ready to open in the math tab
  • Dates, deadlines and decisions, caught so they are not missed
  • Your own questions, typed and answered without leaving the room
  • “Catch me up”, for the last few minutes if you drifted

How it works

  1. Add your files

Slides and readings for a course; proposals, contracts and decks for a project. The more Audiken has read, the closer its answers are to your own material.

  2. Press record

The transcript starts at once. Audiken judges each sentence as it finishes and decides whether anything is worth raising.

  3. Glance when something appears

Each insight is a short answer first. Open “In depth” for the reasoning, an example and how it connects to what is being discussed.

Answers from your files, not the whole internet

Every answer is written from the files in your space and from what has been said so far. It ends with a small tag naming the file and the slide or page, so you can open it and check. When your files do not cover something, Audiken answers from general knowledge and says “not in your files”, so you can tell the two apart.

In a lecture, and in a meeting

In a lecture, the question usually comes from the front: the lecturer asks the room, and the answer appears with the slide it came from. More about Audiken for students.

In a meeting, the question comes from across the table: what was quoted, what the contract says, what was agreed last time. Audiken answers from the project’s files, and catches the decisions and dates as they are said. More about Audiken for meetings.

Built to stay out of the way

A panel that fires on every sentence is worse than no panel. Audiken rations what it raises by how much has been said, never raises the same subject twice, and ignores housekeeping and throwaway questions such as “…, right?”. If you want quiet, one button turns automatic insights off. You can still ask a question yourself, and the transcript keeps going.

For the moment you lose the thread

Everyone drifts. Press “Catch me up” and you get three short points covering the last few minutes, newest last, plus anything you need to act on. Or tap “Mark” when something sounds important and you have no time to write: the moment is stamped in the transcript, and an insight tells you what was being covered and what to know about it.

Not for tests, and never without permission

Audiken is for understanding what is said. It is not for tests or assessed work, and it should be switched off whenever the rules say so. It also records other people, so ask first: in a lecture, our guide to asking permission includes an email you can copy; in a meeting, say so at the start.

Questions about live insights

How fast do the answers appear?

Usually within a few seconds of the question being asked. The first answer in a recording can take longer, because that is when your files are read in.

Does it work for any subject or any kind of meeting?

It works from whatever files you add, so it is not tied to a subject or an industry. It has been used most for business, finance and economics, in English. The more of your material it has, the better its answers.

Will it distract me?

It is designed not to. Insights are short, limited in number, and appear beside the transcript without sound or pop-ups. You can turn them off at any time and read them afterwards in the session’s history.

Can anyone else tell I am using it?

Audiken runs in your own browser like a notes app. It does not join a call or announce itself. Because nobody else can tell it is running, it is your responsibility to ask permission before you record.

Does it work on video calls?

Yes, alongside any of them, because it listens through your laptop’s microphone and not through the call. It hears what your microphone hears: your own voice and whatever plays through your speakers. With headphones on, it hears only you.

Which languages does it understand?

English today. Other languages are not supported yet.

Stop writing “look this up later” in the margin.
