Deadline tracker

A deadline tracker that reads your files and listens for dates

Add a course outline or a project plan and Audiken finds every dated item in it. Record your lectures or meetings and it also catches the dates that were only said out loud. You get one list, soonest first.

Accounts are opening a few at a time. No card needed, and one email when yours is ready.

Nothing due slips past

  • Finds dates in your files: outlines, syllabi, assignment sheets, project plans
  • Catches dates said out loud, the ones that never make it onto a slide
  • One list across every space, and a Due tab inside each one
  • Full details on a click: what it is, what it covers, what it is worth, where that came from
  • Calendar export for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook

How it works

  1. Add the file with the dates

A course outline or a project plan, as a PDF or Word file. Audiken reads the dates, weights and descriptions.

  2. Record your sessions

When a deadline is moved or a new one is announced out loud, it is picked up from the transcript.

  3. Check “Coming up”

The home page shows what is next across all your spaces. Open any item for the details.

The dates that are only ever spoken

“The quiz is moving to next Thursday.” “Can you get the revised numbers to them by the 14th?” A lot of what you are held to never appears in writing. Because Audiken has the transcript of each session, it finds these and adds them to your list, marked with the session and the time they were said so you can read the exact words again.

What each deadline actually involves

A date and a title are not enough to plan around. Open a deadline and Audiken sets out what it is, what it covers, what it is worth where that applies, and anything that was said about it, each with its source. From there, one press in the chat builds a study schedule that works back from that date.

In your calendar, too

Export every deadline as a calendar file and open it in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. It is a one-time copy, so export again after new dates are announced.

Questions about the deadline tracker

Does it sync with Google Calendar?

Not as a live sync. It exports a standard calendar file that Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook all import. Export again when dates change.

What if my syllabus is a scanned PDF?

Text PDFs work best. A scan can often still be read, but check the list against the original the first time.

What happens when a deadline changes?

If the change is announced in a session you record, it is picked up from the transcript. You can also refresh the list after adding an updated file.

Is it only for courses?

No. It was built around course outlines, where it also reads weights and what each test covers, but it finds dated items in any space: a deliverable in a project plan, or a date someone commits to in a meeting.

Does it remind me?

Not with notifications yet. The home page shows what is coming up each time you open Audiken, and the calendar export lets your calendar do the reminding.

Know what is due before it is due.

Audiken is opening to a few people at a time. Leave your email and we’ll send one message when your place is ready.
